Except this time, Flipper doesn't save you from the sharks in Congress

Except this time, Flipper helps the sharks eat you

A big h/t to Jay Kenworthy as well as Frugal Hoosiers for breaking this one:

Does Sen. Bayh think Hoosiers are stupid? He says one thing and does another. I’m beginning to think he actually doesn’t want to get reelected this year. Who can blame him with DC bruising our economy so badly – Bayh doesn’t even come home without the security of Air Force One.

Hoosiers deserve a US Senator who will do something to create opportunity, not smother it. Marlin Stutzman is that man. Even as a young state legislator, Marlin Stutzman has fought alongside Governor Mitch Daniels and against big spending liberals.

Marlin Stutzman has proven himself by fighting big government in the following ways:

- Fighting for balanced budgets
- Eliminating lavish benefits for legislators
- Legislating for SOLVENT infrastructure / road systems
- Keeping taxes low and capping property taxes

That is the fresh perspective Washington DC desperately needs and what Hoosiers Deserve. To paraphrase Rep. Mike Pence, America needs leaders to show with deeds, not just words. Bayh has made too many empty promises.

The history of flip-flopping Evan Bayh (from Frugal Hoosiers):

Today, Evan Bayh voted to raise the federal debt ceiling by $1.9 trillion.

One. Point. Nine. Trillion.

So much for the fiscal hawk who shouted from the rooftops that he voted against a $290 billion ceiling increase last year. Let’s look at what Evan Bayh has had to say about the debt ceiling proposal in the past.

December 29, 2009:

“I would not support raising the debt ceiling because Congress has not adopted a credible process to restrain spending and eliminate red ink.

“When your child overspends on your credit card, you have to do two things: pay the bill and take away the card. Washington is doing the former but not the latter.

“Washington can’t keep maxing out the national credit card with borrowed money from China. It’s time to take away the credit card from politicians who just want to spend, spend, spend and begin to restore our country’s fiscal health.”

December12, 2009:

Sen. Evan Bayh (D., Ind.) said lawmakers need to get serious about fixing fiscal problems. “The public is way ahead of Washington on this one,” he said in a television interview. “They know we can’t keep maxing out the national credit card the way we have. And we’ve now bumped up against the ceiling on the credit card.”

November 30, 2009:

“…there’s no bigger deficit hawk in Congress than I am.

“I think we need to start coming to grips with this. We’re going to have a big vote coming up on the debt ceiling. I don’t think we should vote to raise the debt ceiling until we have a strategy in place to get our deficits down”

October 22, 2009:

“People understand that we’re stealing from future generations,” Bayh said.

Bayh said he would be “very reluctant” to vote for raising the debt ceiling, absent “tangible evidence, not some ephemeral promise, that we will be getting the deficits down.”

Looks to us like Evan Bayh knows more than a little about ephemeral promises.

  1. Bayh defies all laws of physics. Spineless creatures can’t stand erect. They sliver on there bellies like a reptile. I can’t find “Spineless Weasel” in any medical book.
